Mick Rock

2003 → 2007

After EMI — as an antidote to watching a once-great company disembowelled and sold to Guy Hands — I spent several years as agent and producer to the photographer Mick Rock, the man who shot Bowie, Lou Reed, Iggy and Syd. He quietly taught me the trade: image-making, production, contracts, exhibitions, publishing. These are from those years, up to the death of my mother in 2007.
